Pray for Muslims

We are currently in the 9th month of the Muslim calender, also known as "Ramadan." During this month, Muslims are not allowed to eat, drink, smoke, or have sexual relations during daylight hours. They also take part in 5 daily prayers and a special night prayer called the Taraweeh. This prayer sometimes lasts all night long. The reason Muslims observe this practice is to concentrate on their faith and spend less time concerned about wordly issues. They also dedicate this time to studying the Quran and contemplate Islam.

What is significant for Christians about all this is that surveys have shown that many practicing Muslims have dreams about Jesus during this month.

Tonight at Epoch, we presented our people with the opportunity to pray for Muslims throughout the month of Ramadan, which will last through October 23rd. I ask all who read this to pray too. Specifically, pray when you wake up in the morning because it will be night time in the Middle East (no, not all Muslims are in the Middle East, but many are). Pray that Christ will reveal himself and those who dream of Him will have hearts that long for the one true God.

And if you want to read an example of people coming to know Christ through a dream, check out Acts 10. Its an awesome story.
